Follow the format and instructions that are included in the start up kit. They are wonderful. The Watch D.O.G.S. staff will assist you along the way. I've managed to pull off two successful pizza nights with relative ease and the support of my wife who has worked in the background. Speak with the managers/owners of the local grocery stores and pizza parlors and they will help you out with donations for the event. Your principal can help you with the RSVP forms and reminder notices as well as posting the event on the marquee outside the school etc... You need to get the kids excited about the event to get the Dads to show up... Everything else will literally take care of itself. Dads want to participate, just give them the forum to do so....

Had our pizza night on Wed 24th Wow it was huge we had 250 r.s.v.p. and about 300 show up we served around 65 pizza's all of which were donated and one of our local grocery stores donated 20oz tiger gatorade to everyone there!!! We sold around 150 kids shirts. This was the first time we have done this, with the help of our PTA gals to serve and take sign ups from the men we have 42 members now this is a great program to start and with a little work it will be a successful program. GOOD LUCK...

Hi everyone, some great ideas that I have heard is that the Pizza night is advertised and marketed as "mom's night out". Since the dads are at the launch event with the kids it gives the mom's a chance to be with the girls. I have heard of mom's going to local businesses and getting them to donate products and services to raffle off at the event. Several "free oil change" coupons were one of the items raffled off. You will be amazed at the response from local businesses when you tell them your running a fathering/role model program at your school and they will be happy to donate a product or service. Also, if you have a local business provide significant financial support or product donation, you can offer the business some free advertising by putting their logo on the sleeves of the uniform t-shirts. The front and back of the uniform t-shirts are reserved for "national sponsors" but please feel free to screen print the sleeves of your local benefactor. I have several more ideas so please give me a call in the office and we can help you succeed.
